A little known fact about France is that on July 13th, the day before Bastille Day (14th July), they celebrate “Le Bal des Pompiers”, (Firemen’s ball) and all over Paris, the brave members of the fire departments hold parties at their stations. Here’s a youtube clip that’s not directly related to this activity but is a rap which is used to remind people of a direct emergency number “un un huit” (118) to the fire department of the Suisse Romand.
